Safety Goggles and Protective Eyewear

Safety Glasses and protective eyewear must be provided by the employer and selected on the basis of hazards to which the worker is exposed i.e. impact, penetration, heat, chemical exposure etc.  Employers must provide eye protection for employees whenever they are exposed to potential eye injuries during their work if work practice or engineering controls do not eliminate the risk of injury.  Working environment must be assessed and the appropriate safety goggles or safety glasses provided based on this.
